Ali Wilson
Ali has progressed through many music genres, is extremely versatile and adapts his style according to the time and music policy of the club. Carl Cox and Andy Farley are some of Ali’s most influential DJs, for their outstanding ability to progress a set and for their mixing ability.Interviewed by Mixmag, DJ Mag, Energy UK, Clubbers Cafe, HarderFaster.net, Gurn.net, LiveClubbing.co.uk and Tidy.com.
Ali had a DJ of the month feature in the November ‘02 edition of Mixmag and was tipped as one of the top 5 young DJs to watch out for worldwide in the February ‘03 edition of Mixmag. He also featured in the April ’03 edition of DJ Mag as one of the young new stars to look out for and was featured in Mixmag’s Future Heros section in the January ’04 edition where he was dubbed ‘The new BK’.
Ali was also voted best new producer on the Harderfaster.net annual awards in December ’03.
At only 23, Ali has had the pleasure of playing in some of the UK’s most famous venues and has appeared in line ups with some of the worlds biggest DJs & Producers. Not content with playing normal length sets Ali played an 8 Hour set @ Milk in March ’03.
He has also had guest mixes on radio stations such as Clubbed Up, Worldwide FM and Energy UK radio and also guested at the World DJ Day in Birmingham in March ’02. Ali currently holds 2 London residencies – Tilt & Innovate and is constantly making guest appearances all over the UK and rest of the World.
Amidst a very busy DJ schedule, Ali has been working on the production and engineering side of things since 2000 working solo and collaborating with some of the scene’s most respected DJs and producers. Not pigeon holing himself as a producer, Ali makes all kinds of tracks with many influences from various genres. With tracks already signed up with some of the biggest labels, Ali is really making his mark in the production world with huge support from the likes of Mixmag, DJ Mag, M8, Radio 1 and many of the top DJs.
